About the practice

A quiet, steady place to do the work that matters.

Authentic Ground was founded on a simple belief: young people deserve a therapy space that takes them seriously. Not as projects to be fixed, but as people in the middle of becoming.

The practice serves middle and high school students, college students, and transitional aged youth, in person in Natick and virtually across Maine, Massachusetts, South Carolina, and Colorado. Sessions are collaborative, paced to your nervous system, and grounded in the relationship between us.

Whether you're sitting with anxiety, working through trauma, navigating relationships, or trying to figure out what comes next after high school or college, this is a space to slow down, listen inward, and build something more durable than coping.

Balanced stones on a quiet shore

My background

More than two decades in the room, and on the sidelines.

My experience spans over 20 years working with teenagers and young adults. I am also a former multi sport college athlete and the mother of 12 year old twins.

My coaching experience spans the high school level as well as my sons' basketball and soccer teams at the local town level. I started coaching my son's team to encourage coachability and being a good teammate, alongside improving athletic performance while enjoying the game, and to help young players regulate their nervous systems and receive emotional first aid during game time.

That work on the court or field informs what I bring into the room: a respect for pressure, a belief in the power of relationships, and a clear sense that performance and wellbeing are not separate goals.

I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQAI+ community, of which I am a member. My approach is strength based: I truly believe in every person's ability to grow, learn, and become the best version of themselves.

Whether you are an athlete struggling with anxiety, a young person navigating a hard transition, or a parent looking for the right support for your child, I bring both clinical training and lived experience to our work together.

I will show up in a hoodie, casual and grounded, to create a welcoming environment that feels comfortable for all. Together we will build a solid foundation for our work together.

Approach

Trauma informed, integrative, and paced to you.

Trauma informed

Trauma lives in the body and the nervous system, not just the story. We move at a pace that respects what you've carried.

Relationship first

The therapeutic relationship is the change agent. Trust, attunement, and honesty come before any technique.

Integrative

Drawing from attachment based, cognitive behavioral, and somatic frameworks, chosen for what you actually need.
